Job summary

Mesabi Metallics is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support mine operations with precise sample analysis and data management. You will analyze concentrator and pellet plant samples, ensuring accurate measurements and safe procedures, while maintaining meticulous lab records.

The role requires collaboration with Lab Chemists, the Lab Manager, and Plant leadership to adapt to daily priorities and maintain efficient, safe operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an iron mining laboratory.
• Willingness to learn new laboratory equipment.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment safely.
• Strong record-keeping and confidentiality.
• Ability to collaborate with Lab Chemists, Lab Manager, and plant leadership.
• Experience in mining or industrial environments preferred.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe physical analysis on concentrator and pellet plant samples.
• Enter lab data into the LIMS.
• Maintain organized records and documentation.
• Collaborate with Lab Chemists and management to support operations.
