Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word seeks a Research Compliance Coordinator to ensure adherence to federal and state research regulations and institutional policies. You will provide regulatory expertise and administrative support across human subjects protection, conflicts of interest, and research ethics within the UIW research community.

Reporting to the Director of Research Operations, you will assist with IRB documentation, maintain records, coordinate meetings, and contribute to training,

Qualifications

• Assists faculty, staff, and students in preparing IRB applications and related documents.
• Reviews applications for compliance with federal/state regulations and institutional policies.
• Maintains filing systems and coordinates committee meetings.
• Drafts communications to Principal Investigators and facilitates education requirements.
• Participates in audits, quality assurance, and development of compliance reports.

Responsibilities

• Provides regulatory guidance to the UIW research community.
• Serves as liaison between committees, investigators, and collaborating institutions.
• Participates in meetings, conferences, and trainings related to research compliance.
