Job summary

Vibra Healthcare, LLC. seeks a Radiology Technologist for travel assignments across facilities. You will position patients, operate fluoroscopy/CT/ultrasound, and assist during procedures while ensuring radiation safety and sterile technique.

Prior acute care experience is preferred and licensing must be current in the state of employment. Responsibilities include image acquisition, PACS archiving, and patient monitoring with provider communication.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• CRT certification required.
• Active state radiology license in the employment state required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent radiology experience.
• State fluoroscopy license where applicable.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately for procedures with attention to safety and radiation protection.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound.
• Assist physicians during procedures by providing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under physician direction.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure proper archiving in PACS.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any complications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current ARRT required.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
• Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Radiology Tech in the state of employment required.
• Two (2) years of recent experience required.
• State Fluoroscopy license required where applicable.
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation
• Recent acute care experience for acute care and LTAC placements

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Patient Preparation and Positioning: Accurately position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety while adhering to radiation protection protocols.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT scanners, and ultrasound machines, to obtain high-quality images.
• Assistance During Procedures: Assist physicians during interventional procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies, and by maintaining a sterile environment.
• Contrast Media Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of a physician, following established protocols.
• Image Evaluation and Archiving: Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper archiving in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
• Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients during procedures, observing for any complications or unusual events, and report findings to the physician.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

• Current ARRT required.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
• Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Radiology Tech in the state of employment required.
• CurrentBLS certification from aVibra Travles-approved vendor required,
• AHA preferred and required by some clients.
• State Fluoroscopy license required where applicable.
