Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care before, during, and after IR procedures. You will prepare patients, administer pre-procedure meds, monitor with sedation, and assist radiologists while maintaining sterile technique.

The role requires MO RN licensure, a BSN is preferred, and 1–2 years of IR/critical care or perioperative nursing experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current MO RN license; BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross).
• 1–2 years IR, critical care, emergency, or perioperative nursing experience required.
• Moderate sedation experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including histories, assessments, IVs, and pre-procedure meds.
• Monitor patients during procedures with sedation or anesthesia support.
• Assist interventional radiologists during procedures.
• Provide post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Document care in the EMR promptly.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and staff; cross-train as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and uphold the department's standards.
