Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Explains procedures to patients, addresses concerns, and ensures HIPAA compliance.
• Supports and drives quality patient care by implementing facility-specific action plans and goals.
• Performs tasks with judgment, assisting team members and offering solutions.
• Ensures medical records are accurate, complete, and regulatorily compliant; conducts audits.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of the facility; inspects equipment and manages supplies.
• Assists with hazardous waste disposal and upholds environmental standards.
• Attends meetings, collaborates with physicians, and addresses concerns.
• Participates in radiography policy development and regulatory surveys.
• Conducts pre-op and follow-up calls.

Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology

IR Centers at Kansas City Urology Care is a multidisciplinary private practice endovascular lab. We are leading minimally invasive procedures across the U.S. by providing interventional radiology services in an outpatient setting.

JobType: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Location: Merriam, KS

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology, you will be responsible for the assessment of patients, including the development, evaluation, and modification of the plan of care for patients undergoing procedures with moderate sedation. You will provide care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards. Patients served include all age groups.

Responsibilities :

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
• Explains procedures to patients, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
• Supports and drives quality patient care by implementing facility-specific action plans and goals
• Performs tasks with considerable judgment, providing assistance to team members and offering solutions
• Ensures medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations, performing regular audits
• Maintains the cleanliness and safety of the facility, inspecting equipment, recommending repairs, and managing supplies efficiently
• Assists with hazardous waste disposal and upholds environmental standards
• Attends meetings, collaborates with physicians, and addresses their concerns
• Participates in the development of radiography policies and supports regulatory surveys
• Conducts pre-op and follow-up calls

Skills :

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience with monitoring and maintaining inventory
• Proven working experience with moderate sedation
• Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office and EMR systems

Qualifications :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Valid Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification, ACLS certification (Or willingness to obtain)
