Job summary

Trinity Health’s Nazareth Hospital is seeking an IR/Cath Lab Tech for a part-time/per diem role in the Cardiology unit. The position involves assisting physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures, setting up labs, and maintaining sterile technique.

Requires an Associate degree, BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCIS certification, plus hospital IR/Cath Lab experience. Flexible scheduling and on-site benefits are offered as part of a dedicated clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility.
• Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X‑ray, hemodynamic monitoring systems) during procedures.
• Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices.
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures and report changes promptly.
• Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Document procedural information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post‑procedure care and transport.
• Clean, restock, and maintain procedural equipment and inventory.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations following department protocols.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the procedural team.

Employment Type: Per diem

Shift: Day Shift (7am-5:30pm)

Per Diem Requirements: Requires 1 full weekend of call (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) per 6-week schedule, 3 weeknight shifts of call (Mon-Thurs) per 6-week schedule, and 1 holiday per year.
Location: Nazareth Hospital

Position Purpose

Responsible for assisting the Physician during procedures analyzes hemodynamics and EKG, removes sheaths, and uses sterile technique to set up laboratory.

As an IR/Cath Lab Tech, you will

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility
• Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs
