Job summary

Nazareth Hospital in the Philadelphia area is seeking an experienced IR/Cath Lab Tech for a full-time, day shift (7am-5:30pm). You will assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures, prepare rooms and equipment, and monitor patients with attention to sterile technique and radiation safety.

Responsibilities include scrub/circulate/monitor, operate imaging equipment, and document procedures in the EHR, while collaborating with the procedural team.

Qualifications

• : Associates degree required.
• : BLS required.
• : ACLS required.
• : ARRt and/or RCIS certification required.
• : Previous IR and Cath Lab experience in hospital setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility.
• Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs.
• Operate imaging equipment during procedures.
• Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices.
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Document procedural information in the electronic health record.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care and transport.
• Clean, restock, and maintain equipment and inventory.
• Respond to emergencies per department protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members.

Location: Nazareth Hospital

Position Purpose

Responsible for assisting the Physician during procedures analyzes hemodynamics and EKG, removes sheaths, and uses sterile technique to set up laboratory.

As an IR/Cath Lab Tech, you will

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility
• Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X-ray, hemodynamic monitoring systems) during procedures
• Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures and report changes promptly
• Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and safety standards
• Document procedural information accurately in the electronic health record
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care and transport
• Clean, restock, and maintain procedural equipment and inventory
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations following department protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the procedural team

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• ARRT and/or RCIS certification required.
• Previous IR and Cath Lab experience in hospital setting required.
