Job summary

Nazareth Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab/IR unit. The role requires delivering direct and indirect patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will work a 4 x 10-hour day shift with on-call duties, supporting patient education, documentation, and care coordination across Interprofessional Rounds. A BSN, PA RN license, and BLS/ACLs are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• PA RN license required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• ACLs certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and readiness to learn, incorporating education into patient care.
• Document admission assessment, plan, interventions and medication use with outcomes.
• Use the information system to communicate patient status and prioritize tasks.
• Coordinate transfer of patient care and participate in Interprofessional Rounds.
• Identify patient needs and ensure individualized care, including abuse recognition and referrals.
• Incorporate pain management and supportive care into the plan of care.
• Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

The primary objective of this position is to provide quality of care. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge.

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identify actual or potential barriers to learning and thereby incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values.

• Documents admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors its effects and outcomes according to policy.

• Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals. Prioritizes work assignment based on changing situations.

• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds

• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral

• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.

• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care and by promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
