Job summary

ABB is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Operations leader in Puerto Rico to drive efficient production, budget adherence, and high product quality. You will coordinate equipment, people, and processes to meet demand and cost targets while complying with ISO and HSE standards.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Unit Manager, you will develop budgets, lead continuous improvement projects, and collaborate with Supply Chain and Quality teams to reduce waste and improve yields.

Qualifications

  • BS in Industrial Engineering or similar field from PR/US educational institution.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience as a Procurement and Logistics Manager, Engineering Manager or similar management role in manufacturing.
  • Proficient with MS Office; experience with Oracle.
  • Experience presenting to managers; generating reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to supervise teams, coordinate work, and provide coaching and discipline as needed.
  • Comply with ISO 9001; ISO 14001; 50001; VPP and HR policies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual production budget and monitor progress against it.
  • Develop programs and metrics to raise operational performance and optimize working capital.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives to decrease non-value-added costs and improve yields.
  • Oversee subcontractor management and collaborate with Supply Chain on health and safety and permits to work.
  • Collaborate with Operational Excellence to embed lean manufacturing principles.
