Start Corporation in New Orleans seeks an IPS Specialist to support clients in identifying strengths and goals, and to develop effective service plans within a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes recovery, independence, and connection to community resources.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in social services (Master’s preferred) and at least one year of vocational services experience, with a valid Louisiana driver’s license.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in social services field is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least one year of training or experience in vocational services, employment, or relevant social services.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must possess valid Louisiana driver’s license or Louisiana State ID.

Mansioni

• Assist clients in identifying strengths, needs, and realistic goals to develop a service plan.
• Accurately identifies risk and responds appropriately.
• Effectively teaches vocational, recreational and/or social skills.
• Participates as part of a multidisciplinary team providing services for vocational rehabilitation.
• Completes assessments to help with recreational or social activities and/ or job skills coaching and preparation.
• Provides guidance, adaptive skills teaching to secure and retain employment, and referral to resources.
• Conducts business with a manner of professionalism that is conducive to recovery from mental illness and overall wellness.
• Provides supportive services for clients and arranges for the provision of services from community resources based on the case plan.
• Participates in setting case plan goals/objectives.
• Completes case plans with clients.
• Interviews clients and completes assessments and other clinical documentation.
• Completes case logs on all client services and ensures that logs are entered into the electronic data management system of the program they are employed by.
