Job summary

Neighborhood House Association (NHA) Career Core Supported Employment Program (CCSEP) helps active adult and Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) job seekers with a qualifying behavioral health diagnosis, find and secure competitive employment using the evidence-based IPS model.

The Employment Specialist will provide employment services to clients within this IPS-compliant program, collaborating with clients and staff to deliver effective supported employment services and assist in other duties of the

Qualifications

Two years education post high school and one year experience as an IPS Specialist or Employment Specialist or related experience.
Applicant with lived experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a minimum caseload of 20 active job seekers and manage data in IPS tracking tool.
Establish linkages with potential employers and maintain a directory of employers; aim for at least 6 face-to-face employer contacts per week per client.
Utilize a strengths-based approach to support client attainment of competitive employment.
Write person-specific plans aligned with each client’s goals and assist with informed decision making.
Provide on-time, regular face-to-face follow-along supports to clients.
Participate in supervision, vocational unit meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate and address challenges.
Demonstrate knowledge of IPS model, PSR practices, and WRAP.
