Change Grow Live is seeking an IPS Employment Specialist to support service users in Hertfordshire through recovery and employment goals. You will engage employers, manage a caseload, and work within structured treatment services to promote paid work.

The role emphasizes IPS training, strong communication, and travel across the county to connect clients with opportunities and sustain employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment placement or similar roles.
• Training in the IPS approach.
• Strong communication skills for relationship building.
• Level 3 Diploma in Employability Services Sector Qualification or QCF in Advice & Guidance (Level 3).
• Experience or understanding of working with individuals needing substance use support or similar client groups.
• Familiarity with employment services addressing labour market exclusion.
• Excellent motivational, communication, and attentive listening skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal abilities with a knack for building rapport.
• Ability to travel throughout county effectively for the role.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users undergoing structured treatment and motivate work interest.
• Implement the IPS methodology and provide required training.
• Engage clients to identify work skills, goals and develop tailored job search plans.
• Assist with job search, CV creation, applications, interviews and career development.
• Create In-Work Support Plans addressing work-related needs, benefits and health guidance.
• Participate in weekly clinical team meetings and foster referrals to IPS.
• Curate job opportunities through tailored searches and employer liaison for ads and hidden roles.
• Provide ongoing support and monitor progress post-employment to ensure sustainability.
