Job summary

Simbe Robotics is seeking a Director of FP&A in the San Francisco Bay Area for a hybrid role with Burlingame office 2-3x/week. You will own the financial model, lead planning and forecasting, and craft the financial story for the Board and lenders.

This high-visibility position scales FP&A toward an IPO-ready function, partnering with Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and Product to test numbers and drive cost discipline. AI-enabled forecasting and finance system growth are key focus areas.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance experience in a high growth technology company.
• Owns a company-wide financial model and runs scenario analysis for executive decisions.
• Experience running Board reporting and supporting fundraising or debt relationships.
• Experience with cash forecasting, cash collection cycle management, and disciplined cash management.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to communicate across functions and with leadership.
• Hands-on experience owning FP&A/planning platforms (Planful, Adaptive Insights, Pigment, Anaplan).
• Demonstrated ability applying AI tooling to finance, accounting, or tax workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the 3-statement financial model; run scenario analysis to guide decisions.
• Lead annual budget and quarterly re-forecast across departments; track variances.
• Assess headcount and investments; build data-backed business cases.
• Own the cash forecast and shorten the cash collection cycle.
• Build monthly/quarterly reporting for Board; support fundraising and lender requests.
• Partner with leaders to test numbers and drive cost discipline.
