Job summary

Kikoff, a consumer fintech powering financial security, seeks a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting in San Francisco. You will own external reporting and technical accounting as we prepare for an IPO, guiding disclosures, memos, and approvals with auditors and leadership.

You’ll manage SEC filings and 10-Q/10-K processes, oversee GAAP derivations across ASC 718, 805, 842, and related topics, and build scalable controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in public accounting and in-house SEC reporting or technical accounting.
• CPA required with deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules.
• Personally drafted 10-Ks and 10-Qs; IPO experience preferred.
• Strong memo-writing and research skills; able to defend a position to auditors.
• Comfortable as an individual contributor with potential to scale a team.

Responsibilities

• Draft the financial statement sections of registration statements and supporting schedules, including MD&A and footnotes.
• Build and run quarterly and annual reporting processes (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy) and manage the close-to-file calendar.
• Oversee the transition from private to public accounting, including EGC/RC developments and disclosures.
• Own technical accounting topics (ASC 718, 260, 280, 350-40, 805, 470, 842, 450, 460).
• Coordinate with auditors, Compliance, and Legal; ensure disclosures align with the GL and covenants.
