Job summary

CFS is seeking an SEC Reporting Manager to build and lead the external reporting function as the company grows. This hands-on role covers SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), financial statement prep, and supporting IPO readiness with public-company processes.

You will partner with senior leadership, auditors, and legal counsel to establish scalable controls and reporting workflows, bring deep U.S. GAAP expertise, and manage timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA required or strongly preferred.
• Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• SEC reporting or public-company financial reporting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• IPO readiness, technical accounting, or SOX compliance highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, project-management, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Willingness to work at both the strategic and detailed execution levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and disclosures.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supporting docs.
• Manage disclosure checklists, reporting calendars, and internal review processes.
• Support IPO readiness efforts and develop public-company reporting infrastructure.
• Research and document complex technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare accounting memoranda and communicate conclusions to leadership.
• Assist with accounting for equity transactions, stock-based compensation, debt, revenue recognition.
• Partner with accounting and finance leadership on the month-end and quarter-end close.
• Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, consultants, and other third-party advisors.
• Support the design, implementation, and documentation of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Help establish scalable policies, procedures, and reporting workflows.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered within established deadlines.
• Remain actively involved in detailed schedules, reconciliations, tie-outs, and supporting documentation.
