Job summary

Amgen is seeking an undergrad co‑op in Integrated Pest Management within Facilities & Engineering at our Puerto Rico site. You will work with cross‑functional teams, gain hands‑on pest management experience, and contribute to site environmental inspections.

You will complete 2+ years of study in related fields, maintain a minimum GPA, and have strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills. The program runs 6 months to 1 year with a focus on safety and field data collection.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full‑time Bachelor’s Degree program with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent.
• Expected completion of at least 2 years of study in Soil Science, Entomology, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, and/or Crop Protection prior to the co‑op commencing.
• Flexibility to participate in the program for 6 months up to 1 year.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Experience with field data collection or environmental inspections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and strong technical writing abilities.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to meet key milestones and deliver high‑quality results.

Responsibilities

• Learn on the job and gain practical experience in pest management.
• Conduct field assessments around facilities to identify outdoor conditions affecting pest activity.
• Drive improvements using AI and other technology tools.
• Gather, organize, and document field observations and project information.
• Prepare maps, inventories, and technical summaries; present prioritized observations and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including F&E Pest Control/IPM, Facilities, and EHS.
• Review findings with partners to identify risks and opportunities.
