Job summary

Kearfott Manufacturing in Pine Brook, NJ is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly & Test Technician to turn schematics into field-ready hardware. You will assemble, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical systems at the bench, using IPC J-STD-001 soldering, a microscope, and electronic test equipment.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience, IPC J-STD-001 certification, a high school diploma with technical trades training, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electro-mechanical systems.
• IPC J-STD-001 certification plus ability to solder to that standard.
• High school diploma or equivalent with approved technical trades training.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical systems and components.
• Build circuit cards and test cables from prints and operation sheets.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints; follow work instructions precisely.
• Perform IPC J-STD-001–compliant soldering and rework.
• Record work status, maintain Kanban racks, and enter operations into IFS for traceability.
