Job summary

Qualcomm Incorporated is seeking a Legal Specialist in San Diego to support patent prosecution and IP operations. You will work with attorneys, patent agents, and external counsel to manage filings, deadlines, and docketing across U.S.

and international jurisdictions. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree or paralegal certification with IP/docketing experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in legal/IP.
• Experience in legal, IP, or docketing support preferred.
• Knowledge of USPTO rules and patent prosecution procedures a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support U.S., PCT, and foreign patent prosecution activities.
• Maintain patent records and docket information.
• Assist with filing of patent applications and prosecution documents.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and foreign associates.
• Generate and distribute docket/status reports.
• Enter and verify patent data across systems.
• Prepare IDS, declarations, and other patent-related filings.
• Escalate non-routine matters to senior staff.
