Wilson Elser, a national law firm with over 1,400 attorneys and 46 offices, seeks an Attorney in Intellectual Property and Technology with strong litigation experience. The role supports privacy, AI governance, data governance, and internet/advertising law within a national team based in Los Angeles or Orange County, CA.

This is a full-time, hybrid position with salary in the upper range for California. Ideal candidates will have CA bar admission, a JD, substantial IP litigation background, and

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice in the State of California.
• 5–15 years of IP litigation experience; federal/state court litigation and depositions.
• Experience with privacy, AI governance and data governance preferred.
• Experience with advertising law, art law, fashion law, internet law and/or transactional matters is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day litigation caseload for IP, data privacy, AI governance and related matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys and partners on complex projects across the national team.
• Prosecute and defend lawsuits involving copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets; manage privacy rights.
• Advise clients on privacy notices, policies, third party risk, and internal training.
• Support transactional matters including software licenses, collaboration and asset purchase agreements.
