Job summary

Quarles & Brady LLP is seeking a Legal Project Assistant in Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Tucson, or Washington, D.C. to support attorneys and paralegals in the Intellectual Property Group with patent prosecution work.

You will manage case workloads, draft and file documents with the USPTO, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to deliver client deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Intellectual Property patent prosecution experience is preferred.
• ,
• Client billable hour requirement of 1200 along with a commitment to timely time entry.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong technology skills and willingness to learn additional programs.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Highly motivated and a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and paralegals in electronic document preparation and case filings with the USPTO.

• Provide independent management of case and project workload.
• Draft, edit, and proofread internal and external communications while meeting deadlines.
• Preparing and filing Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) for review.
• Communicate with clients and prepare documents, reminders, and updates.
• Work collaboratively with internal client teams and paralegals to execute on client deliverables.
