Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting a well-established law firm in its search for an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal. You will support sophisticated IP matters for a diverse client base, including patent and trademark prosecution, docketing, and coordination with attorneys.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of paralegal experience in intellectual property within a law firm, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal experience supporting intellectual property matters within a law firm.
• Familiarity with patent and trademark prosecution procedures and related filings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented legal environment.
• Proficiency with legal technology, docketing platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage patent and trademark prosecution matters from filing through maintenance, ensuring deadlines and requirements are accurately tracked and met.
• Prepare and submit a variety of intellectual property filings and supporting documentation with U.S. and international patent offices.
• Maintain and update IP docketing systems, monitor critical deadlines, and generate reports for attorneys and legal staff.
• Assist attorneys with intellectual property aspects of corporate transactions, including technology licensing and business acquisitions.
• Coordinate communications with clients, government agencies, foreign associates, vendors, experts, and legal professionals.
• Support ongoing portfolio management efforts and help ensure compliance with filing and maintenance requirements.
