A global legal services provider is looking for a full-time Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal in Pittsburgh. Job description

LHH is seeking a full-time Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal with a focus on patent and trademark docketing to join a global firm we work closely with. This role supports a busy Intellectual Property group by managing high‑volume docketing, correspondence, deadlines, and administrative tasks related to U.S. and international IP prosecution.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Review, docket, and distribute high volumes of incoming correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, and foreign associates following established procedures
  • Review and update the docket based on USPTO filing receipts, WIPO confirmations, and foreign associate communications
  • Update the docket based on attorney and paralegal instructions
  • Monitor daily docket reports to ensure all deadlines are accurately tracked and met
  • Conduct monthly status checks of pending patent, trademark, and other IP matters
  • Manage incoming/outgoing correspondence and transferred files
  • Respond to client and internal team inquiries; generate reports as requested
  • Maintain electronic files and save correspondence in the document management system
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark prosecution processes, rules, and procedures
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret rules and instructions accurately
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage routine, detail‑oriented tasks
  • Excellent proofreading and document review skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Minimum of 3 years of intellectual property experience in a legal services environment
  • Experience with IP docketing software, particularly CIP or FIP, highly preferred

Salary Range: $50,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience
