Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal for a Washington, DC law firm. The role supports attorneys in patent prosecution, trademark portfolios, and post-grant matters before the USPTO, with a focus on Inter Partes Review (IPR) proceedings.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years IP paralegal experience, familiarity with PTAB E2E, and proficiency with IP docketing software; a bachelor's degree or ABA-certified paralegal certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IP Paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Direct experience assisting with Inter Partes Review (IPR) filings and PTAB procedures.
• Proficiency with PTAB E2E and standard IP docketing software.

Responsibilities

• Draft, format, and file IPR petitions, responses, motions, and supporting exhibits via PTAB E2E.
• Track and manage PTAB statutory deadlines, discovery schedules, and hearing dates.
• Organize evidentiary files, manage exhibit logs, and prepare hyperlinked filings for submission.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses and vendors for transcriptions, declarations, and hearing prep.
• Maintain the firm’s IP docketing system, ensuring accurate entry of USPTO, foreign office, and PTAB dates.
• Prepare routine filings including IDS, declarations, assignments, and powers of attorney.
• Conduct prior art searches and organize references for prosecution and litigation files.
• Communicate with foreign associates regarding international prosecution and parallel proceedings.
