Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney for a HYBRID role with a nationally recognized practice in Boston. Work involves patent and trade secret disputes in federal courts, ITC, and PTAB proceedings, supporting high-stakes IP litigation.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction, 2–4 years of IP litigation experience, and a technical degree (Electrical Engineering or related).

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 2–4 years of substantive experience in intellectual property litigation, including patent and/or trade secret disputes.
• Trial experience, IPR proceedings, and ITC litigation experience are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex IP disputes including patent and trade secret litigation.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies in federal courts, ITC, and administrative proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive filings.
• Coordinate discovery, including e-discovery processes, with clients, co-counsel, and vendors.
• Conduct depositions, support trial teams, and participate in hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to deliver client service.
• Engage with clients in strategic planning and risk assessment related to IP enforcement and defense.
