Job summary

Orrick is seeking talented associates with 2 to 4 years of solid experience in AI, copyright, trademark, trade secret and/or false advertising law to join our IP/technology litigation practice in Washington, DC.

We handle high-profile cases defending major clients and provide rigorous training, mentoring, and a collaborative team environment. Strong writing and communication skills are essential, and membership in the state bar is required.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in AI, trademark, copyright, false advertising, and/or trade-secret law including litigation.
• Strong understanding of Lanham Act, Copyright Act, DMCA, trade-secret statutes, CFAA and related state laws.
• Willingness to engage with a broad range of laws and legal principles to support technology clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage IP/technology litigation and enforcement matters in copyright, trademark, trade secret, false advertising and AI spaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
• Develop strategy for complex litigation and enforcement actions.
• Counsel clients on legal risks related to product development.
• Conduct legal research and demonstrate strong writing skills.
• Manage discovery, including e-discovery with client and vendors.
• Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong client-facing skills and teamwork.
