Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Intellectual Property for Data Rights to provide IP-related legal support across RMS. The role involves advising on data rights in government, commercial and international contracts, drafting IP terms, NDAs, and complex IP agreements, and protecting data rights.

A JD/LLB with at least 10 years of IP experience, USPTO admission, and DoD Top Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of IP law experience including data rights.
• JD or LLB required; admitted to USPTO and to practice law in at least one state.
• Significant knowledge of copyright and trade secret law.
• Understanding of government contract law, FAR/DFARS clauses.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide IP legal support across Lockheed Martin RMS and business areas.
• Draft and negotiate prime and subcontract IP terms and conditions, NDAs, complex IP agreements.
• Advise on IP issues in government and commercial contracts, including data rights protections.
• Interface with program leaders and counsel to manage IP risk and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with government contract law and related IP clauses.
