Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property / Data Rights Analyst in Huntsville, AL to perform IP analytical work on a government weapon system project. You will review data rights assertions, research applicable legal frameworks, and support CDRLs and life cycle sustainment planning.

The role requires knowledge of IP and data rights within government programs, with a Secret clearance and 8+ years of relevant experience. Hybrid work arrangement may apply.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: Secret.
• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of IP/Data Rights experience; 11 years in lieu of a degree accepted.
• Experience with laws and policies covering Data Rights (FARS, DFARS, Army directives).

Responsibilities

• Research IP and Data Rights assertions in government acquisitions.
• Analyze CDRLs and identify data rights-related risks.
• Develop briefings for Division Chief and Project Manager levels.
• Support life cycle sustainment planning for weapon system development.
