Job summary

Healthcare Coding & Consulting Services (HCCS) seeks experienced IP Auditors for full-time or part-time, fully remote roles. Candidates should have DRG validation, inpatient auditing, and complex inpatient coding experience within a Level II Trauma Center or higher.

Active AHIMA or AAPC certification is required (CCS, RHIT, or RHIA). CDIP/CCDS preferred. This direct-hire W-2 position emphasizes quality audit findings and clear communication while staying US-based.

Qualifications

IP Auditor (Full-time and Part-time)

Healthcare Coding & Consulting Services (HCCS) is seeking experiencedFull-time and Part-time IP Auditors to join our growing team. This is afully remote opportunity for a highly skilled coding professional with extensive experience in DRG validation, inpatient auditing, and complex inpatient coding.

Position Requirements:

• Active AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required.
  • CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification is required
• CDIP and/or CCDS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent APR-DRG/DRG coding experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient auditing experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher.
• Previous IP Auditing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines, MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment, reimbursement methodologies, and documentation requirements.
• Ability to identify coding opportunities, validate DRG assignment, and provide clear audit findings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Must reside in the United States.
