We are hiring an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.
Location: This is a remote role, managing a team in one of three regions: Americas, EMEA, or APAC. You must be located in one of these regions to manage your team spanning multiple time zones.
Our IoT mission is to enable companies to operate fleets of secure connected devices. Canonical provides the Ubuntu OS and kernel, with secure update and management mechanisms. Our customers develop mission-critical control systems, gateways, and appliances that require high security and quality standards. We aim to extend this security to the consumer electronics and device markets.
Our Field Engineers are thought leaders in embedded Linux, taking a hands-on approach to strategy and delivery. They are passionate about helping customers achieve technical and business goals and demonstrate how Canonical's open source approach benefits emerging edge compute fields. They also focus on developing their colleagues’ skills and understanding of customer business thinking.
This role requires a unique blend of skills. Candidates should be proficient in Linux, coding, and scripting, with experience in low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development. They should thrive in a fast-paced environment with diverse client engagements, driven by ambition and technical expertise. They should also be team-oriented and proud of collective success.
