IoT Pre-Sales Engineer - NORAM / LATAM

Location: Austin, Texas - Hybrid

Position Summary

Thales is seeking an IoT Pre-Sales Engineer responsible for maximizing the success rate of MCS Connectivity Solutions & Services for Connectivity and Security Management platform (including eSIM, Solutions, and IoT Security) by providing global support to Sales teams (KAM, Account Managers, MCS Sales, Regional BD) and assisting in new business development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support sales in presenting and promoting offers, differentiators, and demos.
  2. Qualify new customer opportunities for Connectivity and Security Management platform.
  3. Respond to technical questions from customers regarding the platform.
  4. Support solution experts and answer RFx related to the platform.
  5. Collaborate with Product Management to improve offerings and roadmap.
  6. Assist Marketing in developing competitive offers based on customer and market demand.
  7. Transfer product knowledge to regional experts to enhance their autonomy.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with regional sales, solution experts, and marketing teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 10 years of experience supporting technical customer questions on Connectivity and Security Management platforms, especially IoT.
  • Experience with Product Marketing for Connectivity and Security Management offerings.
  • Experience with technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Knowledge of eSIM technology, SGP.32, IoT ecosystem.
  • Understanding of digital tech, telecommunications, cloud, cybersecurity, or sector-specific expertise.
  • Industry experience in Connectivity and Security Management solutions.
  • Knowledge of mobile communication solutions and services.
  • Pre-Sales, Business Development, or Sales experience.

Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus. The position may be based in LATAM.
