Job summary

Nordic Semiconductor is seeking a Platform Engineer to help build and scale the nRF Cloud platform. You will own end-to-end platform components, design, ship, and monitor systems serving millions of IoT devices in production, using Python, Kotlin, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL/ClickHouse.

You will also improve observability, resolve incidents, and drive reliability while collaborating across Product, SDK & Field Engineering, and Support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to ship production code end-to-end.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EKS, RDS, S3, EC2) and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python, Kotlin, and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Sentry).

Responsibilities

• Own platform end-to-end, design, build, ship and monitor systems handling data from millions of IoT devices.
• Ship production-quality code across the stack (Python, Kotlin, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL/ClickHouse).
• Improve observability and reliability; respond to incidents and lead postmortems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, SDK & Field Engineering, and Support to translate needs into technical work.
