Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field required.
• Licensed preferred as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, licensed psychologist, or other County-approved licensed mental health professional in California. BBS registration or applicable licensing board number required.
• Experience providing specialty mental health services, IOP/PHP services, day treatment intensive services, group therapy, crisis intervention, and/or co-occurring capable services preferred.
• Knowledge of adult behavioral health needs, trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented services, culturally responsive care, and adults stepping down from higher levels of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive therapeutic services including assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge planning.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy, rehabilitation, crisis intervention, case management, and collateral services.
• Assess client needs, risks, functioning, and readiness for transition to lower levels of care.
• Develop and update client treatment/care plans per medical necessity and documentation standards.
• Lead/participate in groups and structured therapeutic programming.
• Support a therapeutic milieu with trauma-informed practices and self-management skills.
• Collaborate with County representatives, outpatient providers, hospitals, and families as appropriate.
• Participate in Treatment Team meetings, utilization management, and trainings.
