Job summary

JB Hunt Transport, Inc. in Arkansas seeks an Invoicing Representative to handle the largest and most complex accounts, ensuring accurate application of charges and timely billing.

Under supervision, you will resolve billing disputes, train teammates, and drive process improvements across invoicing and payments while maintaining high accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare statement billing and invoices and audit billed charges for validity.

• Train and mentor new employees and respond to inquiries about billing.
• Lead the team in absence of formal management.

Job Summary: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for handling the largest and/or most complex accounts, and managing the efficiency and accuracy of the application of all charges for billing purposes. This position identifies and resolves issues regarding billing disputes or issues with the customer, (e.g. variances). This individual will be a subject matter expert with the ability to make time-sensitive decisions, manage multiple competing priorities, and teach or train others.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statement billing and invoices including collection of missing or incomplete documentation to meet customer billing requirements and audit billed charges for validity
• Collaborate with management to coordinate processes on invoicing processes/payments
• Compile and construct data for customer notification reports and billing updates
• Develop instructions, guidelines, practices, and procedures to perform billing functions
• Work with internal teams to improve processes, discuss action plans, and/or contractual changes, and achieve organizational/department/team goals and objectives
• Train and mentor new employees
• Network and build relationships with both JB Hunt employees and external customers by responding to inquiries and complaints regarding accessorial billing processes, notifications, billing issues, etc. and identify root cause and solutions to issues
• Execute special projects to improve billing processes
• Act as team lead in absence of formal management

Qualifications

• Work Experience - 1-2 years experience in a administrative, business, finance, accounting/payroll, transportation/logistics role
• Work Experience - 1-2 years experience ... &/OR demonstrated ability of the following skills through education, certifications, or other experiences
• Ability to act professionally.
• Ability to be both flexible and adaptable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal & written settings.

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
