Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking an Invoicing Analyst to join our Des Plaines team. You will analyze data trends, create invoicing templates, and ensure accuracy of billing for logistics operations.

This role supports weekly, monthly, and ad‑hoc invoicing with a focus on data validation and process documentation. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 3 years in invoicing or AP/AR, and strong Excel/SAP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, math, or a related analytical field.
• 3 years of experience in accounting, invoicing analysis, billing or AP/AR.
• Strong PC skills with Excel and Word; SAP experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data trends, manage invoicing templates, and ensure accurate billing of logistics operations.
• Download operational data into Excel; develop and review data for invoicing.
• Validate data with Logistics Center personnel and verify accessorial inputs.
• Create and maintain invoicing templates for various timelines and new solutions.
• Issue, record, and distribute invoices to clients on a weekly, monthly, and ad‑hoc basis.
• Track invoicing trends and perform variance‑to‑budget analyses.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal staff and external customers.
• Document invoicing processes and support billing questions.

• Salary: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum base salary of $58,000-$60,000 per year, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
• Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule to support deadlines or cross‑functional collaboration; typically your schedule will be 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

What You’ll Do

You will analyze data trends, manage complex invoicing templates, and ensure the accurate billing of our logistics operations.

• Data Management: Download operational data from various internal systems into Excel and develop, analyze, and review the data required for invoicing.
• Data Validation: Partner directly with Logistics Center personnel to validate data and solicit/verify accessorial inputs.
• Solution Design: Create and maintain invoicing templates for weekly, monthly, and ad‑hoc timelines, while designing and implementing brand new invoicing solutions.
• Invoice Execution: Issue, record, and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad‑hoc invoices to our clients.
• Financial Analysis: Track and analyze historical invoicing trends, evaluate start‑up costs against estimates, and complete variance‑to‑budget analyses.
• Relationship Management: Maintain strong working relationships with internal field staff and external customers through solid communication.
• Support & Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of invoicing processes and assist with information requests or billing questions.

What You Bring to the Table

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, math, or a related analytical field.
• Experience: 3 years of experience in accounting, invoicing analysis, billing or AP/AR.
• Technical Skills: Strong PC skills, featuring intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge is a plus) and Microsoft Word. Experience with SAP is a major plus.
• Execution: A team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently, keep close attention to detail, and balance multiple weekly and monthly deadlines.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal verbal and written skills for cross‑functional internal updates and external client management.
• Adaptability: Process management experience and the ability to learn new software systems quickly are highly valued pluses.
