Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking an Invoicing Analyst to join our finance team in Des Plaines, IL. You will drive monthly invoicing, manage accruals, and design new billing solutions while bridging financial data and client service.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/math, 3 years in invoicing or related areas, strong Excel/Word skills, and SAP experience is a plus. Hybrid work with collaboration across logistics centers and external clients is offered.

  • Track invoicing trends, analyze variance to budgets, and support finance decisions.
  • Maintain relationships with internal staff and external customers through clear communication.
  • Document invoicing processes and respond to billing inquiries.

CJ Logistics America is seeking an Invoicing Analyst to be a key member of our finance team. This role supports the company's growth by driving monthly invoicing requirements, handling the month-end accrual process, and designing and implementing innovative new billing solutions. You will bridge the gap between financial data and customer service by collaborating closely with both internal logistics center personnel and external clients.

  • Salary: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum base salary of $58,000-$60,000 per year, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule to support deadlines or cross-functional collaboration; typically your schedule will be 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
What You'll Do:

You will analyze data trends, manage complex invoicing templates, and ensure the accurate billing of our logistics operations.

  • Data Management: Download operational data from various internal systems into Excel and develop, analyze, and review the data required for invoicing.
  • Data Validation: Partner directly with Logistics Center personnel to validate data and solicit/verify accessorial inputs.
  • Solution Design: Create and maintain invoicing templates for weekly, monthly, and ad hoc timelines, while designing and implementing brand new invoicing solutions.
  • Invoice Execution: Issue, record, and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad hoc invoices to our clients.
  • Financial Analysis: Track and analyze historical invoicing trends, evaluate start-up costs against estimates, and complete variance-to-budget analyses.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong working relationships with internal field staff and "external" customers through solid communication.
  • Support & Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of invoicing processes and assist with information requests or billing questions.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, math, or a related analytical field.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in accounting, invoicing analysis, billing or, AP/AR.
  • Technical Skills: Strong PC skills, featuring intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge is a plus) and Microsoft Word. Experience with SAP is a major plus.
  • Execution: A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently, keep close attention to detail, and balance multiple weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal verbal and written skills for cross-functional internal updates and external client management.
  • Adaptability: Process management experience and the ability to learn new software systems quickly are highly valued pluses.
