Job summary

Shamrock and Ryan Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented Account Resolution Specialist to maintain accurate account records, reconcile outstanding receivables, and resolve billing and payment issues. The role demands strong problem-solving skills and a fast-paced, collaborative work environment in Overland Park, KS.

You will work with Account Managers and the Accounts Receivable team to resolve disparities, coach junior staff, and respond promptly to inquiries while ensuring timely cash

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in an administrative, billing or collections environment.
• Proficient knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• High energy and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Problem solver with ability to identify and create solutions.
• Clear verbal and written communication with all levels of staff and customers.
• Leadership or management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research open receivables on low and high-volume accounts.
• Communicate with customers by phone and email to resolve past-due invoices and related issues.
• Monitor account details for non-payments and irregularities.
• Coordinate with Account Managers to resolve customer concerns.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to resolve payment application issues and adjust differences.
• Assist supervisors with escalated collection disputes.
• Support coaching and training of team members.
• Answer incoming accounting calls and respond to inquiries.
• Generate and review account statements.
• Manage multiple payment portals and maintain accurate records.
