Job summary

Referment is seeking an associate for its investor-relations team in New York. You will support relationship managers serving institutional investors and prospects, while building understanding of the firm's investment capabilities, markets and priorities.

This role blends responsive client support with longer-term process and project work, requiring clear communication and strong organizational skills, with an interest in using AI to improve workflows and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1–4 years of financial markets experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, project management and attention to detail.
• Process-oriented, collaborative approach and ability to work with colleagues at different levels.
• Commercial judgement, initiative and interest in AI-enabled workflows.
• Business development or relationship-management experience and familiarity with financial terminology.

Responsibilities

• Support relationship managers in cultivating investor relationships and responding to inbound requests.
• Keep stakeholders informed about relevant strategy and business developments.
• Design and maintain robust product-development and prospecting processes.
• Manage short-term deliverables alongside longer-running commercial projects.
• Build fluency in investment capabilities, financial concepts, capital markets and client priorities.
