Job summary

Plains is seeking an Investor Relations Coordinator to support earnings activities, investor communications, and investor relations systems. The role collaborates with executives and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting and engagement with the investment community.

The ideal candidate will coordinate calendars, manage inquiries, and assist with presentations, budgeting, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–4 years of direct accountability in project and event planning.
  • Energy and/or finance experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience supporting CFO suite, corporate access or investor relations teams.

Job Type: Regular Plains is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil. Investor Relations Coordinator

The Investor Relations Coordinator is an integral member of the Investor Relations (IR) team. This role supports the Company’s investor relations strategy through the coordination of earnings activities, investor communications, sell‑side conferences, non‑deal roadshows, executive travel, and Investor Relations systems and databases. This role serves as a key liaison between executive leadership, investors, analysts, service providers, and internal departments to ensure successful execution of the company’s investor relations strategy. This position reports to the Director of Investor Relations, works closely with other members of the team, and coordinates/communicates with Plains executives (CEO, COO, CCO, CFO, VPs) and their executive assistants. The coordinator will also support the VP, Investor Relations & SVP, Treasurer.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Coordinate quarterly earnings activities, including conference calls, webcasts, earnings materials, disclosures, and investor communications.
  • Create and publish earnings-related LinkedIn content and graphics in collaboration with Communications and Legal.
  • Manage Investor Relations calendars, investor databases, and meeting records to support earnings activities, analyst coverage, conference planning, non‑deal roadshows, investor targeting, and executive engagement with the investment community.
  • Manage the Investor Relations inbox, phone line, and shareholder inquiries, serving as a primary point of contact for investors, analysts, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate updates to the Investor Relations website and ensure investor-facing information is accurate, current, and timely.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, budget tracking, and maintain vendor and departmental records.
  • Support annual budgeting, invoice processing, expense tracking, and departmental financial administration.
  • Coordinate all logistics of investor events (meetings, conferences, dinners, road shows, etc.), including travel, meeting schedules, registrations, accommodations, transportation, and event support.
  • Support production of various events, including: Analyst Days Bank Meeting Manage Investor Relations subscriptions, memberships, vendor relationships, and renewal activities.
  • Coordinate procurement and inventory management of company-branded materials and promotional items.
  • Manage relationships with investor relations vendors, service providers, subscriptions, memberships, and external partners.
  • Assist with the preparation, formatting, editing, and maintenance of Investor Relations presentations as needed.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • A personable, self‑managed team player who is proactive in identifying and meeting the needs of the department/company
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong, proven events and logistical coordination and organization capabilities
  • Able to work seamlessly as a member of a team and with other individuals (including executive level) and groups
  • Highest standards of personal integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Portfolio of presentations utilizing publishing tools such as Canva
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with high levels of accuracy
  • Knowledge of budget tracking, invoice processing, vendor management, and expense administration.
  • Available for occasional travel with advance notice
  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre‑employment D&A testing.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 3-4 years of direct accountability in project and event planning
  • Energy and/or finance‑related experience a plus
  • Previous experience supporting similar CFO suite, corporate access and/or investor relations teams
  • Knowledge of master limited partner market and investor relations a plus
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre‑employment D&A testing.
