Job summary

The United States Steel Corporation and Carnegie Pension Fund is seeking a motivated Investments Summer Intern to join the Investments team in Pittsburgh, PA. The internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in asset management and retirement plan analysis, working alongside seasoned professionals to support operations and research.

You will gain exposure to retirement plan administration, research investments, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Full-time student status required.
• Preferred GPA of 3.5.
• Preferred entering senior year in Fall 2027.
• Majors: Finance, Accounting, Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration and management of retirement plans, including day-to-day operations.
• Gain familiarity with institutional investing.
• Conduct research and analysis on investments including performance and attribution analysis.
• Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects related to asset allocation, tactical investments, and implementation of strategies.
• Participate in client meetings, taking notes and helping to draft follow-up communications.
• Maintain organized documentation and assist with data management tasks.
• Participate in senior level conversations and decision making.
• Cross functional exposure to human resources, legal and accounting departments.
• Leverage AI systems to improve operational efficiencies.
