Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration and management of retirement plans, including day-to-day operations.
  • Gain familiarity with institutional investing.
  • Conduct research and analysis on investments including performance and attribution analysis.
  • Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects related to asset allocation, tactical investments, and implementation of strategies.
  • Participate in client meetings, taking notes and helping to draft follow-up communications.
  • Maintain organized documentation and assist with data management tasks.
  • Participate in senior level conversations and decision making.
  • Cross functional exposure to human resources, legal and accounting departments.
  • Leverage AI systems to improve operational efficiencies.

The United States Steel Corporation and Carnegie Pension Fund is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investments Summer Intern to join the Investments team in Pittsburgh, PA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the asset management industry, working alongside seasoned professionals to support various aspects of asset management and retirement plan administration and analysis.

The intern will operate within a small team that places a strong emphasis on growth and development and where a meaningful impact can be achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration and management of retirement plans, including day-to-day operations
  • Gain a familiarity with institutional investing
  • Conduct research and analysis on investments including performance and attribution analysis
