Job summary

Oliver James Associates Ltd. is partnering with a growing life & annuity platform to hire an FP&A Manager focused on Investments. You will own forecasting, budgeting, and analytics tied to the investment portfolio, with emphasis on NII and spread analysis.

You will collaborate with Investments, Actuarial, Treasury, and Accounting to translate investment performance into actionable insights for senior leadership and capital planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A, investment analytics, or investment management within insurance or asset management
• Strong understanding of fixed income investments, financial markets, and insurance accounting concepts
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; experience with Power BI or similar tools preferred
• Exposure to platforms such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, Clearwater, or similar is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred)

Responsibilities

• Own investment forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling across the portfolio
• Analyze NII, spread performance, and yield metrics (new money yield vs. book yield)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investment analytics for executive stakeholders
• Partner closely with Investments, Actuarial, Treasury, and Accounting to align strategy and results
• Monitor market trends and assess impacts to portfolio performance and capital planning
• Support management reporting, presentations, and external stakeholder requests
