Job summary

Aspida, a tech-driven insurance carrier backed by Ares, seeks a senior FP&A professional to own forecasting, budgeting, and analytics for the investment portfolio with a focus on NII and spread analysis.

Reporting to the Deputy CFO, this on-site role in Durham, NC collaborates with actuarial, treasury, and accounting to drive yield optimization and capital efficiency through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of FP&A, investment analysis or investment management experience in insurance or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of investment products, markets, and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with investment managers to develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investment analytics for senior management.
• Analyze portfolio trends, returns, and asset allocation strategies to optimize performance.
• Monitor New Money Yield vs. Portfolio Book Yield and ensure alignment with pricing assumptions.
• Support budgeting and forecasting related to investment income and capital planning on a quarterly basis.
• Collaborate with actuarial, treasury, and accounting to align strategy and reporting.
