Job summary

Fidelity & Guaranty Life Business Services seeks a Manager, Accounting Advisory - Investments to ensure GAAP and Statutory reporting for F&G and its insurance carriers. You will advise on the accounting for investments (bonds, mortgages, derivatives, equities) and influence structure of new investments.

You will partner with Investment Strategy, Hedging, Middle Office, and Accounting teams, providing education on accounting standards and supporting policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting is required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience researching accounting guidance or policy experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new bespoke investments for financial reporting implications.
• Document GAAP and Statutory accounting requirements for investments.
• Educate stakeholders and advocate for positions in relation to new accounting standards.
• Prepare documentation to support accounting positions for new investments.
