Job summary

TopLine Financial Credit Union is seeking an Investment Representative to join our Investment team. You will solicit members, open accounts, and provide informed guidance on securities and financial plans within a broker-dealer framework.

Ideal candidates have Series 7 and 66/65 licenses, a finance degree, and 3+ years in investment sales. You will support seminars, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with regulations while working in a collaborative, member-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years as an Investment Representative or licensed sales assistant.
• Four-year degree in finance or related field.
• Must be Series 7 and 66/65 licensed.
• Licenses must be kept current with continuing education credits.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes TopLine Financial Credit Union culture, philosophy and values within the department and organization.
• Solicits credit union members to offer benefits of investing with TopLine Investment Services.
• Assists in providing information and advice on purchase or sale of securities and financial plans.
• Supports seminars on financial services and insurance products.
• Opens and services new investment accounts and routes documentation for processing.
• Monitors client accounts and verifies transactions for accuracy.
• Develops and implements financial plans and selling securities with Senior Investment Representative.
• Builds long-term advisory relationships with clients and ensures regulatory compliance.

TopLine Financial Credit Union has been a member-owned financial services cooperative since 1935. We are looking for outgoing individuals to join our Investment team that is dedicated to building life-long relationships to help our members reach and manage their financial goals.

A successful Investment Representative will be able to do:

• Promotes TopLine Financial Credit Union culture, philosophy and values ensuring quality and teamwork within the department and throughout the organization.
• Solicits credit union members using advertising campaigns, mailing lists and personal contacts to offer the benefits of investing with TopLine Investment
• Services. All investments are sold through a third-party broker dealer.
• Supports Senior Investment Representative in member/client interviews to determine financial position, resources, assets available to invest and financial goals.
• Supports Senior Investment Representative in providing members/clients with information and advice on purchase or sale of securities, financial services and investment plans.
• Supports Senior Investment Representative in conducting seminars for individuals and families on financial services and insurance products available through TopLine Investment Services. May work with third-party vendor to facilitate.
• Opens and services new investment accounts.
• Supports Senior Investment Representative in completing sales and completes sales independently and routes documentation for processing.
• Monitors client accounts and verifies that transactions are accurate.
• Supports Senior Investment Representative in developing and implementing financial plans and selling securities.
• Builds long-term financial advisory relationships with clients.
• Ensures client investment transactions are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Compensation: Commission-based with an advance draw that is repaid through future commissions.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision essential.
• Three years of experience as an Investment Representative or licensed sales assistant, preferably in a financial institution.
• Knowledge of securities/insurance industry & contact management software.
• Must be Series 7 and 66/65 licensed.
• Must ensure licenses are kept current with required continuing education credits.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize essential.
• Ability to work effectively with people in a diverse environment and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment of change, pressure, and deadlines essential.
• Computer proficiency at an advanced level, preferably with Microsoft Office Suite Software.
• Four-year degree in finance or related combination of education and experience preferred.
• Ability to travel to Branch Offices to meet with clients and collaborate with training other departments as needed.
