TopLine Financial Credit Union has been a member-owned financial services cooperative since 1935. We are looking for outgoing individuals to join our Investment team that is dedicated to building life-long relationships to help our members reach and manage their financial goals.
A successful Investment Representative will be able to do:
- Promotes TopLine Financial Credit Union culture, philosophy and values ensuring quality and teamwork within the department and throughout the organization.
- Solicits credit union members using advertising campaigns, mailing lists and personal contacts to offer the benefits of investing with TopLine Investment Services. All investments are sold through a third-party broker dealer.
- Supports Senior Investment Representative in member/client interviews to determine financial position, resources, assets available to invest and financial goals.
- Supports Senior Investment Representative in providing members/clients with information and advice on purchase or sale of securities, financial services and investment plans.
- Supports Senior Investment Representative in conducting seminars for individuals and families on financial services and insurance products available through TopLine Investment Services. May work with third-party vendor to facilitate.
- Opens and services new investment accounts.
- Supports Senior Investment Representative in completing sales and completes sales independently and routes documentation for processing.
- Monitors client accounts and verifies that transactions are accurate.
- Supports Senior Investment Representative in developing and implementing financial plans and selling securities.
- Builds long-term financial advisory relationships with clients.
- Ensures client investment transactions are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision essential.
- Three years of experience as an Investment Representative or licensed sales assistant, preferably in a financial institution.
- Knowledge of securities/insurance industry & contact management software.
- Must be Series 7 and 66/65 licensed.
- Must ensure licenses are kept current with required continuing education credits.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize essential.
- Ability to work effectively with people in a diverse environment and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment of change, pressure, and deadlines essential.
- Computer proficiency at an advanced level, preferably with Microsoft Office Suite Software.
- Four-year degree in finance or related combination of education and experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to Branch Offices to meet with clients and collaborate with training other departments as needed.
