Job summary

Wellington Management is seeking a Technology Co-op to learn financial technology within the Science Research Technology team, contributing to data pipelines and data-quality checks that power investment research across Fixed Income and Equity.

You will engage with business and technology stakeholders, explore third-party datasets, and contribute to investor-facing tools while gaining exposure to data engineering and analytics in a finance setting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Python and data analysis.
• Experience with data pipelines and AI in analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Partner with data scientists to translate requirements into work items.
• Participate in technical design of solutions
• Develop data pipelines to onboard datasets
• Evaluate and onboard alternative datasets, including web-scraped sources
• Participate in projects using AI to improve data analytics for investment research
• Enable data analysis and data quality using various tools
• Test, rollout applications and help with solution adoption.
