Job summary

Dodge & Cox in San Francisco seeks an experienced Investment Operations professional to reconcile internal records with custodians and drive automation across reconciliation, corporate actions, and pricing workflows. You will develop AI-assisted processes and collaborate across risk, compliance, and technology teams.

The role requires a strong technical foundation, workflow automation experience, and the ability to work independently while coordinating across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and workflow automation.
• Strong SQL skills to extract and analyze data across sets.
• 2+ years in investment operations or related financial ops.
• Experience with portfolio reconciliation and accounting systems.
• Ability to improve processes via automation and scripting; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile internal investment accounting with custodians; own exceptions end-to-end.
• Support core Portfolio Operations: corporate actions, pricing oversight, broker oversight.
• Prepare monthly client reports and meet deadlines, including customized reports.
• Provide backup coverage during peak workload and complex events.
• Analyze workflows for automation opportunities and define success metrics.
• Contribute to future reconciliation strategy and vendor selection.
• Design and maintain AI-assisted workflows using approved tools.
• Train and refine automation tools with governance and quality controls.
