Job summary

Atlas Search in Manhattan is seeking an Investment Operations Consultant to support post-trade, reconciliation and reporting across its portfolios.

You will run daily reconciliations of cash, positions and transactions, support equity and derivative trades through settlement, and work with custodians to resolve settlement issues. You will build monthly reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders and assist auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or similar.
• 4+ years in investment, hedge fund or middle office operations.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, settlement, reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• Sharp attention to detail with analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Run daily reconciliations of cash, positions and transactions vs custodian/service provider records; clear breaks promptly.
• Support equity and derivative trades after execution through to settlement.
• Work with custodians and counterparties to resolve settlement exceptions and trade discrepancies.
• Keep holdings, cash balances and investment records accurate in accounting, custody and reporting platforms.
• Build monthly investment and cash reports, portfolio summaries and operations dashboards for senior stakeholders.
• Administer proxy voting across portfolios; track deadlines and submissions with custodians and voting providers.
• Pull documentation and supporting schedules for auditors.
• Pitch in on ad-hoc projects.

• Run daily reconciliations of cash, positions and transactions against custodian and service provider records, and clear breaks and open exceptions promptly
• Support equity and derivative trades after execution through to settlement
• Work with custodians and counterparties to resolve settlement exceptions, trade discrepancies and other operational issues
• Keep holdings, cash balances and investment records accurate in the accounting, custody and reporting platforms
• Build monthly investment reports, cash reports, portfolio summaries and operations dashboards, and support holdings and performance reporting for senior stakeholders
• Administer proxy voting across portfolios, tracking deadlines and submissions with custodians, voting service providers and the investment team
• Pull documentation and supporting schedules for auditors
• Pitch in on ad-hoc projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (finance, economics, accounting or similar)
• 4+ years in investment, hedge fund or middle office operations, or in fund administration or a similar financial services setting
• Solid grounding in the trade lifecycle and settlement, reconciliations, and custodian and broker relationships
• Familiarity with servicing and operating investment portfolios, plus process improvement, risk management and operational controls
• Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills
• Sharp attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational ability, and a willingness to help wherever needed
