Job summary

Atlas Search seeks an Investment Operations Consultant in New York to support trade operations, reconciliations, and portfolio reporting. You will ensure accurate cash, holdings, and transaction records across systems and help produce monthly investment reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in investment operations, with strong knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlements, and reconciliation processes, plus advanced Excel and MS Office

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reconcile cash, positions, and transactions daily with custodians.
• Support equity and derivative trades through settlement.
• Clear settlement exceptions with custodians and counterparties.
• Maintain accurate holdings, cash balances, and records.
• Produce monthly reports: investment, cash, portfolios, dashboards.
• Support governance and voting processes across portfolios.

Job description

Our client, an investment firm in New York, is seeking a detail-oriented Investment Operations Consultant to support trade operations, reconciliations, and portfolio reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile cash, positions, and transactions each day against custodian and service-provider records, and research breaks and open exceptions through to resolution.
• Support equity and derivative trades after execution, through to settlement.
• Clear settlement exceptions and trade breaks with custodians and counterparties.
• Keep holdings, cash balances, and transaction records accurate across accounting, custody, and reporting systems.
• Produce monthly investment reports, cash reports, portfolio summaries, dashboards, and performance and holdings reporting for internal stakeholders.
• Support corporate governance and shareholder voting processes across portfolios, tracking deadlines and maintaining records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a similar discipline.
• 4+ years in investment operations, middle office, hedge fund operations, fund administration, or a similar financial services setting.
• Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and reconciling cash, positions, and transactions.
• Strong understanding of investment servicing, portfolio operations, and custody and broker relationships.
• Experience improving processes and applying operational and risk controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills plus proficiency across Microsoft Office.
