Job summary

Maslow Wealth Advisors seeks an Investment Operations Associate to support the operational infrastructure of its alternative investment platform in Austin, TX.

You will evaluate and onboard new alternative investment managers and investments, oversee feeder funds and IDFs, and act as the primary liaison among the Investments, Operations, and Financial Advisor teams, with external managers, custodians, and fund administrators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in investment operations, fund administration, alternative investments, or wealth management operations.
• Understanding of alternative investment structures including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real estate funds, feeder funds, and Insurance Dedicated Funds.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operational due diligence reviews on prospective alternative investment managers, funds, and investment platforms.
• Evaluate fund administrative processes, valuation methodologies, subscription and redemption procedures, reporting capabilities, service providers, and operational controls.
• Coordinate operational onboarding of new alternative investment offerings.
• Partner with investment, compliance, legal, and operations teams to facilitate efficient implementation of new investment solutions.
• Maintain relationships with operations teams at external fund managers and administrators.
• Review NAV statements, capital account statements, and reporting packages.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Operations Associate to support the operational infrastructure of the firm's alternative investment platform. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating and onboarding new alternative investment managers and investments, overseeing operational support for the firm's feeder funds and Insurance Dedicated Funds (IDFs), and serving as the primary liaison among the Investments Team, Operations Team, Financial Advisors, with external investment managers, custodians, and fund administrators.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct operational due diligence reviews on prospective alternative investment managers, funds, and investment platforms.
• Evaluate fund administrative processes, valuation methodologies, subscription and redemption procedures, reporting capabilities, service providers, and operational controls.
• Coordinate operational onboarding of new alternative investment offerings.
• Partner with investment, compliance, legal, and operations teams to facilitate efficient implementation of new investment solutions.
• Maintain relationships with operations teams at external fund managers and administrators.

Investment Operations Administration (Feeder Funds & IDFs)

• Manage the operational lifecycle of the firm's feeder funds and Insurance Dedicated Funds.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for fund administrators, custodians, insurance carriers, and underlying investment managers.
• Maintain records of commitments, subscriptions, capital calls, distributions, transfers, redemptions, and unfunded commitments.
• Monitor cash movements and funding requirements across investment vehicles.

Internal & External Relationship Management

• Act as the primary liaison between the Investments Team, Operations Team, Financial Advisors, and external investment partners.
• Facilitate communication regarding capital activity, reporting, investor servicing, and operational matters.
• Support advisors by serving as a resource for operational questions relating to alternative investments.
• Review NAV statements, capital account statements, and reporting packages.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to valuations, fees, expenses, and allocations.
• Prepare internal reports related to commitments, liquidity events, capital calls, distributions, and portfolio activity.

Tax, Compliance & Documentation

• Track tax reporting timelines and coordinate K-1 delivery.
• Maintain documentation supporting operational, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives

• Enhance operational workflows, controls, and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in investment operations, fund administration, alternative investments, or wealth management operations.
• Understanding of alternative investment structures including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real estate funds, feeder funds, and Insurance Dedicated Funds.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience at an RIA, family office, OCIO, institutional consultant, fund administrator, or alternative investment platform.
• Interest in CFA, CAIA, CFP, or similar designation.
